Since the outbreak of Covid 19 Barnaby has worked extensively from his home studio in Cardiff as a Composer, Arranger and Recording Artist with theatre companies across the UK. Details of some of the projects can be found below. In addition, Barnaby works as an online piano tutor offering one on one sessions via Zoom.

As part of Theatr Na N'Og's Online advent calendar Barnaby wrote and composed a Christmas single released in December 2020 to raise funds for Freelancers affected by the 2020 lockdowns. Translated into Welsh by Phylip Harries, the track is available on all major streaming platforms.

Advent adventures

In December 2020 Theatr Na N'og finished the year off with an online advent calendar featuring a short video distributed in Welsh and English throughout every day of December. Barnaby composed all original music for the production.

Toy Mic Trev - A new Musical written by Alan Harris with music by Hannah Noone. Barnaby worked as Musical Director with Chippy Lane Productions conducting an R&D in between lockdowns at The Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff

Barnaby was awarded an Arts Council grant in 2020 to produce a series of short audio pieces recorded using Binaural Audio technology. Written by a team of Welsh writers and directed by Daniel Lloyd with sound design by Ian Barnard. Barnaby produced the project as well as composing original music.

Featuring music by Grammy award winning songwriter Amy Wadge, Barnaby created the original orchestrations for this musical in 2017 and assisted in editing a digital version released in China in September 2020.

Written by Geinor Styles and Mali Tudno Jones, Barnaby composed the music for this Radio play including arranging, recording and editing a version of "Va Pensiero" recorded by Welsh Opera singer Fflur Wyn.

The far away plays





Pink Mist written by Owen Sheers was one of the plays treated to an online read through by Welsh theatre company The Far Away Plays. Barnaby worked as a composer for this read through.

Produced in collaboration with Arts and Business Wales, Barnaby composed the music for Theatr Na Nog's award winning online production Just Jump.
